Animated Migration Flowlines

This animation shows the bird migration flowlines for a sliding 1-hour window. The length of the flowlines corresponds to the pro-jected distance travelled by the migrants during this window. The flowlines are color-coded accor-ding to their altitude.

The sun clock shows the sunset/sunrise for the spring days on which the shown observations were made. This allows you to clearly see how most migration takes place from dusk till dawn.
